Romsey Local History Society is for everyone who has an interest in the history of our town and its environs. The Society runs a programme of 25 or so wide-ranging talks during the year, and arranges walks and visits in the summer months. Talks are held in Romsey Town Hall with both an evening and a morning programme. Details are on the Programme page. Events are open to everyone, but visitors are asked to make a small donation.

The Society also maintains an archive of historical materials, documents and photographs which are available for reference to everyone. Details are in the Resources page.

A number of historians and archaeologist members are pursuing their own research, but as well the Society has shared research programmes which allow any member whatever their experience to participate and share interests. Find details on the Research page, together with details of Romsey Local History Society historians who regularly give talks to groups and societies all around our area.
Over the years a number of books and leaflets have been written and published by the Society, and are available to purchase, details are in the Publications page.
